Under UK company law there is no longer a requirement for documents to be signed under seal. However, there may be certain circumstances when a seal is required, particularly when conducting overseas business or entering into contracts with overseas customers, foreign lawyers and to comply with some local regulations. In these cases, a seal may be required on legal documents, contracts or lease agreements.
